Courage Tiger here at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and I just learned that this is the place that Beads of Courage actually started in 2003. Jean Gribbon, the founder of Beads of Courage, piloted the program to transform the treatment experience for children coping with chronic, life-threatening illnesses through our arts-in-medicine programs. Over the years, Beads of Courage has help thousands of children and teens in over 240 hospitals cope with serious illnesses around the world. How cool is that? It all started here in Phoenix! This wraps up my journey in Arizona! I wish I could stay longer and talk to more people, but I head over to California tomorrow! I cannot wait for all the people I will get a chance to meet while there.
